Baker - bass, vocals
Natalia Tiana - drums
This album was originally released in 2002 in CD form.
Sisters of the Revolution are the musical component of the Oxygen Collective. They are dedicated to playing and creating anti-corporate music and reclaiming music as a important tool towards positive global transformation.
The band's music energizes crowds, inspiring an explosion of dance and celebration. Best described as "rootsy folk-punk," the Sisters of the Revolution's music appeals to grandmothers and skate punks alike. Their songs weave together the deeply personal with larger concerns about the environment and social justice. The band's audiences have learned to sing along with such lyrics as "the real revolution is love" or "we are the ones we've been waiting for."
Sisters of the Revolution sing liberated music, free from the censorship of Corporations, expressing the anger and joy of a new generation. Working with the Oxygen Collective proves to be a powerful way of connecting the music with hands-on, creative workshops, skill shares, networking and resource sharing.

Not Chick Rock
Though I find that they oversing lyrics which stand alone as contrived, they are genuinely compelling from a purely aural standpoint.

An ode to girl power
I am new to Sisters of the Revolution, but I was immediately intrigued by their music. They have a very unique sound and I find this CD very inspirational and artistic. I really like the meaning behind the lyrics as well as the vocals and it is fast becoming one of my favorite CDs.

Excellent, excellent stuff
Although I prefer the more recent work of Baker and Natalia, and their new band, "Deep Root Theory", this whole album is solid, I give it an A+ and it will remain one of the favorites in my collection :)

Excellent
A lovely acoustic album that has elements of what sound like Dispatch or even Bob Marley (a stretch, I know). The sound quality is excellent rivaling that of commercial recordings and most defiantly worth a download.

A Revolution of Talent
Sisters of the Revolution bring a truly wonderful addition to the world of non-corporate music. With an Indigo Girls sound, this trio unfold an interesting blend of musicianship. The folky guitar, tight harmonies and insightful lyrics are an excellent addition to any audiophile's library.
